Service With Intention

 At Comb & Collar, we believe in transparency, thoughtful service, and mutual respect. These simple policies keep things flowing beautifully behind the scenes, so your dog’s spa day is everything it should be. 

Policies & procedures

Appointments & Cancellations

  • A $50 deposit and credit card on file is required to book. This deposit is applied to the total cost of the groom.
  • Deposits are refundable with at least 48 hours’ notice of cancellation or rescheduling.
  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice will result in the loss of the deposit. 

Dog Requirements

 Vaccinations:

  • All dogs must have a current rabies vaccination.
  • Proof must be provided (via text or email) before booking the appointment.
     

Size Limit:

  • Dogs must be under 40 lbs.
  • Larger dogs may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
     

Health & Behavior:

  • Puppies, seniors, and special needs dogs are welcome when safe to groom.
  • Service may be declined for:
    • Illness (vomiting, diarrhea, etc.)
    • Open wounds or injuries
    • Certain medical conditions
    • Severe or unsafe aggression
    • Pregnancy
  • Clients must disclose any relevant health or behavioral issues prior to the appointment.

Grooming & Safety

  • Safety tools such as muzzles or grooming loops may be used only when necessary.
  • If a dog is found to be severely matted, a shave-down may be required, and a matting waiver will be signed at check-in.
  • Dogs found to have fleas will require a mandatory flea bath and a $50 decontamination fee 

Mobile Service Logistics

  • Weather and traffic delays may affect arrival times. Clients will be notified of any delays as soon as possible.
  • VIP Access Program: Returning clients may choose to enroll in this program, allowing us to retrieve your pet using a key, door code, or other access method when you are not home.
